Position Summary
 

Responsible for providing clerical support to the Enforcement Officer on assigned caseload, and responding to various correspondence from clients, attorneys, employers, and outside agencies that pertain to cases within Domestic Relations.   Must provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external clientele.

  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must possess basic communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to perform simple mathematical computations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) either manually or using a calculator.
  • Familiarity with operation and daily maintenance of office equipment (personal computer, typewriter, printer, microfiche, copy and fax machines, Lektriever filing system, copiers, date/time
  • stamp machines, etc.)
  • Ability to type, spell, and punctuate accurately.
  • Ability to set up and type correspondence, forms, tables, reports, etc., using a personal computer word processing program.
  • Interact with clients, attorneys, employer, or outside agencies by phone or correspondence in a congenial, efficient and responsible manner.
  • Ability to locate cases by  various methods.
  • Ability to learn general principles and procedures of duties, then extend those guidelines to cover a variety of situations.
  • Bi-lingual skills no required, but are considered a plus for any candidate.
  • Must adhere to Court and/or County policies and procedures.
  • Receive daily mail for caseload from assigned Enforcement Officer.
  • Locate and pull case files.
  • Process address and employment updates reported by clients.
  • Complete case work as indicated from correspondence, Enforcement Officer, and/or Domestic Relations policy and procedure.
  • Verify information with clients and employers via phone calls.
  • File all paperwork appropriately in the case.
  • Review the Delinquency Report and work accordingly.
  • Monitor a pending file/calendar for scheduled responses or actions.
  • Prepare client payment records upon request of client, authority, or other interested parties.
  • Point of contact for clients and outside agencies.
  • Complete monthly file management assignments.
  • Use required Case File Maintenance System to ensure ease of file location for all office workers.
  • Maintain and submit required semi-annual statistical reports on work activity.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with general, duty-specific and duty-related portions of the PACSES (Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement System) System.
  • Comply with all computer and office security and safety procedures and confidentiality requirements.
  • Attend periodic trainings about PACSES, the support system, or other relevant topics to enhance work performance.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisor, Director or Assistant Director.
