The Monroe County Conservation District is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Resource Conservation Specialist. An employee in this position will educate and assist the agricultural community in the area of farm conservation and nutrient management planning, ensuring members of the agricultural community understand the purpose and importance of implementing conservation practices that protect and enhance our soil and water resources.
The successful candidate will be required to review Erosion and Sediment control plans, Chapter 105 Waterways and Wetland Encroachments, perform site inspections, provide technical assistance, and actively engage in education and outreach programs for site contractors and site representatives.

- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in biology, environmental resource management, or related field
- Must possess three (3) years previous experience in watershed management, land use planning, environmental education, construction inspection or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job
- Must possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
