The Monroe County District Public Defender's Office is actively seeking compassionate & committed individuals with a passion for serving the public interest, by ensuring access to justice for impecunious individuals. Joining our team as an Assistant Public Defender, you will report to the Chief Public Defender and will be responsible for representing and defending indigent clients in District Justice Court, Court of Common Please, in state Superior and Supreme Courts, & in Juvenile Court within the State of Pennsylvania.

Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
- Must possess a Juris Doctorate degree
- Must be a member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar
- Must possess six (6) months previous experience or training; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- Must possess a valid PA driver’s license
