Parks Support Mechanic (Parks & Recreation)

The County of Berks is seeking qualified applicants for a Parks Support Mechanic. This position assists in the general maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, equipment, and grounds, performs minor repairs to facility equipment and structures (such as ballasts, lamps, plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, roofs, and other hardware) that do not require a license or certificate of any type, and performs preventative maintenance tasks on site-specific equipment.  These tasks include but are not limited to oil changes, blade sharpening, greasing, and cleaning.

 Position requires possession of valid Pennsylvania driver's license, a Commercial Drivers License may be required, completion of accredited trades training course at the apprentice level or the equivalent in related training and experience, and a minimum of two (2) or more years experience as a grounds maintenance worker.
