is seeking qualified applicants for the
following positions:

Prison Warden

This is administrative work at an advanced level in the correctional field directing the activities of the Cambria County Prison. Implementing and administering the policies and procedures established and approved by the Cambria County Prison Board. Work involves management of all administrative operations including records maintenance, financial management, personnel administration, building maintenance, and the supervision of inmates and employees. Work is performed under the minimal supervision of the Prison Board and is reviewed through inspections, reports, and monthly meetings of the Prison Board. Assignments are difficult in nature and are carried out in accordance with administrative and security practices, procedures, precedents, specific goals and objectives, and any applicable legal standards or regulations. Qualifications: Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of corrections, including a minimum of five (5) years in a management or supervisory capacity. A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in criminal justice or related to the behavioral sciences, preferably an appropriate Master's Degree, or any equivalent combination of experience or training. Significant knowledge of, training in, and/or experience with, PA Title 37, Chapter 95 OR the PA Department of Corrections Inspection Process.

Director of Veterans’ Affairs
The Director shall be responsible for the administration and management of the department, including maintaining compliance with all County, State and Federal laws regarding veterans’ benefits. Advises, assists, and counsels veterans and their families in the process necessary to obtain benefits. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of veterans’ benefits which shall be supplemented by ongoing training provided by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Veterans’ Affairs.  Preference will be given to veterans. In addition, to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each skill and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be certified as a Veterans Service Officer for Cambria County.
