CCAP Wraps Successful 140th Annual Conference and Trade Show

CCAP's 140th Annual Conference and Trade Show concluded Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Monroe County, bringing together more than 500 county leaders, exhibitors and partners from across Pennsylvania for four days of education, collaboration and networking.
The conference featured nationally and statewide recognized speakers, including U.S. Sen. Dave McCormick, U.S. Rep. GT Thompson, Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, and Gov. Josh Shapiro, who delivered remarks via video. Educational sessions addressed key issues facing counties, including data centers, property reassessment, workforce development, public safety, fiscal sustainability, behavioral health, and technology.
Members also elected CCAP's 2027 officers who will take office on January 1, 2027: President Dave Glass (Clearfield County), First Vice President Ann Coleman (Mercer County), Second Vice President Pat Fabian (Armstrong County), and Treasurer Julie Wheeler (York County).

The conference celebrated CCAP's 140-year legacy of serving Pennsylvania's counties while recognizing the nation's 250th anniversary through its "Celebrating America" theme. Attendees also participated in policy committee meetings, explored the exhibit hall, and recognized excellence in county government.

CCAP also announced its upcoming conferences: the 2026 Fall Conference will be held Nov. 22-24 at The Hotel Hershey, and the 2027 Annual Conference and Trade Show will take place at the Erie Bayfront Convention Center. Members also selected the site of the 2031 Annual Conference, which will be held at the Valley Forge Casino Resort Event Center.
