Monroe County is seeking a Director of Purchasing. The selected candidate will to direct and manage the overall operations and administration of the Purchasing Department for Monroe County.  Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:  purchasing goods, services and equipment; consulting with vendors regarding goods and services and managing the purchase of capital equipment. This position also oversees the state contract program.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or closely related field; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training that includes purchasing, supplies and equipment buy setting procedures, or a related area of expertise; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
