The County of Butler is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Manager with proven leadership, aquatic, recreational program development and management experience.  This position works under the general direction of the Parks & Recreation Director.  Plans, organizes and directs comprehensive public and voluntary recreation programs at Alameda Park & Pool Complex.  Supervises program, event, pool, concession and cashier seasonal personnel.

Candidates are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Management or closely related field and a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.  Preferred current certifications in Lifeguarding, Lifeguarding Instructor, Lifeguarding Instructor Trainer, Water Safety Instructor, and Community First Aid & Safety Instructor.  Certified Pool Operator (CPO or equivalent) and Pesticide Applicator’s License or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, meeting management, project management, and leadership skills.  We are seeking candidates with strong skills/experience in aquatic & program planning/development, knowledge of swimming pool operations to include filtration, sanitation, maintenance, liability and safety preferred.

*Pay Grade 6 ($20.3036-$28.4251/hr.)
