The primary focus of this position is to provide development, implementation and evaluation of the Agency kinship parent recruitment, training, and retention program by developing program goals and objectives, as well as creating and reviewing current agency kinship care policies. This position will be responsible for designing kinship parent training curriculum, as well as arranging and presenting kinship parent training sessions. This position is expected to be in regular contact with all active kinship homes including by not limited to monthly home visits, letters, telephone calls, newsletters, and will provide ongoing supervision of kinship homes for compliance with agency and state regulations and provide corrective action and support if needed for non compliance. 

The right candidate will have knowledge of the NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, Child Protective Services Law, Juvenile Act, ASFA, ICPC and regulations set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Human  Services. Public relations, effective communication skills, strong organizational skills, and time management skills are essential to success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, including at least 12 credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related field. 
  2. Minimum two years of professional experience in the field of children, youth, and families.

Starting Pay Rate is $19.01 per hour. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, with a half hour unpaid lunch with the potential for some flexibility after training is completed.
