On June 30, Gov. Wolf signed into law several bills comprising a revenue package to complete the FY 2021-2022 budget, including the general appropriations bill (SB 255) and amendments to the Fiscal Code and Administrative Code. The FY 2021-20212 budget has been completed using a mix of one-time sources of revenue to fill the revenue shortfall caused in large part by the coronavirus pandemic. The Governor did veto one line within SB 255, bringing the total budget amounts to approximately $36.68 billion in state spending. With a nominal spending increase over FY 2020-2021, the budget does not contain any across-the-board cuts.
